    OK; what do you use the pre/post thing for?

    Just for before overdrive / distortion or after. That's my understanding of it anyway. Sounds different when you change them

    Right.

    That's fine.

    But when it's pre then it has to go to both amps.

    When it's post you have a choice; Mobius to both amps or Mobius only to the amp that doesn't get the Timeline.

    For the former, splitter between the DPC and the Mobius. For the latter, splitter between the Mobius and TImeline.

  • I do exactly this. I use a GigRig Humdinger, but any splitter will do.

    The chain is:
     guitar
        |
     some FX
        |
     splitter --> amp 2
      | more FX | amp 1

    Simples!

    R.

    Actually @robinbowes this doesn't work for me 'cos any signal with fx that first go into the splitter will go into both amps. Only way round that I suppose is Guitar into splitter and isolated out then some fx then amp 2. The main out from the splitter to some fx and amp 1

    Well, yes, you obviously need to put the splitter at the appropriate point in the chain to separate your FX as you so desire.

    A generic diagram might look like this:
      guitar
         |
     FX chain 1
         |
      splitter --> FX chain 2 --> amp 2
      | FX chain 3 | amp 1
    • FX chain 1 goes to both amps
    • FX chain 2 only goes to amp 2
    • FX chain 3 only goes to amp 1
    You then just need to decide what to put in each of your FX chains.

    I think that might get me through my dilemma but will mean a lot of moving stuff around but will sit down and work out exactly what and where etc :) Thanks
