As somebody who quit smoking 7 years ago here are my thoughts

1. It stinks
2. It tastes bad in your mouth for ages after
3. Seriously it stinks and it just clings to you
4. It's harsh on the lungs
5. It smells awful
6. Anybody who says they enjoy smoking (cigarettes) is just addicted, because if it wasn't for the nicotine nothing about it is pleasant.
7. It has a bad odour. I must have smelled terrible even on 5-10 a day.
8. I just don't want to leave the list on an odd number that isn't divisible by 5

I had one drag whilst near black out drunk and even in that state knew i didnt want another!

Wise decision to kick the habit, and congratulations for doing so!

Yeah it's horrible, but I don't seem to be able to get to the stage where I hate it.  I went a full year without recently and really loved the first weak moment.

so currently I am a 50/50 smoker doing 3 months on, 3 months off.  


And and it makes me look cool!!!

I quit at age 15 and haven't had one in 30 years..in the days when a packet of 10 JPS would last you and your mates about a fortnight

Same here, I get moaned at for clouding the bedroom out multiple times a night.

How much do you spend on vape stuff?

I reckon I've saved myself £10k in the last 10 years of not smoking- probably more.

While completely sober, I've no interest in a fag whatsoever. It's only after a couple of pints that I'll get a craving. 

I'm fortunate not to have an addictive personality and I could never let it become a habit - it's more expensive than buying boutique pedals.

I worked it out as about £1 per day - equivalent to 2 cigs.

But it's more than just the cost. It tastes nice, the hit is smoother, my lungs are clearer, my house doesn't smell and it's socially more acceptable

Vaping stinks too. Especially the horribly sick sweet banoffee or strawberry ones. 

It's a step up, mind. I know people who have never smoked but got into vaping. Really don't get it - I understand it as a way of quitting smoking, but it seems to have grown into its own sub culture.
