Hi, I'm looking for a play 1 and/or a play 5. Must be white.

Also interested in play bar or sub for the right price.

There's always a selection on eBay with fairly stable used prices of c 120 for a Play1 and 280-320 for a Play5
I just picked up my 2nd Play5 BIN for 280 delivered

I have a second generation Play 5 and a new play 1. I seriously want another one of each to make a stereo pair. Makes all the difference.

I'm looking at these to, how well does a play 1 fill a large living room, are they loud?

A Pay 1 won't "fill" a large living room.

The Play 5 is a good weighty sound that should do so for most rooms.

I think a Play 5 sounds great but I miss stereo separation. 2 Play 1s and a sub would sound better than a single Play 5 I think.

I will look into it @TTony; however, the Sonos guy warned us that they can track their products i.e. no buying to sell on eBay and the like. Having said that, if they're legitimate purchases I don't see why there should be a problem.

I'd imagine the 50% off is only available to employees, friends and family or industry staff. People who work for the relatively small amount of stores that sell Sonos stuff?

Just to inform, I got a huge shake of the head from my boss today. I can get 50% off but only for myself. I couldn't even get my mum one if I wanted to! Sorry guys.

I'm not entirely surprised at the outcome - Sonos wouldn't be able to protect their business model & margins if there was any significant potential leak into a grey market.

?? Since you posted the thread I bought a white Play 5 for £240 on ebay - the guy was selling 2

Get on there and grab one - anything under 300 is a good price, clicky clicky buy :-)

That's a really good price! Was that a new or old model? i had an old one and sold it to buy a new one. It's so good I want another to set them up in stereo.

I'm struggling to find second generation play 5s for less than £340 on eBay.

Both of mine are first gen - I think the only difference is the slightly smaller (less tall) enclosure
