Should 2016 fuck off?

Based on few recent posts about people who will be dearly missed.

I can see some frustration with the fact that so many famous people died this year. Isn't that something that we should be expecting though? Is it that very year's fault? Of course, nothing can prepare us for someone's death, and every single one is difficult, especially in such a short period of time. 
As a kid I had a thought like that - assuming no tragic events - I will hear about or witness the death of most of my sport idols, actors, some family members... one of those shitty things about circle of life...

... especially in Maths - where you could give them the statistics on how many of their heroes would be dead by next Spring. :-)

2016 should mostly fuck off because it was the year that the idiots "won". Not only in politics but also true in my work life - it was a great year to be a prick. 

And yes yes some decent people died too, but I think that will continue unfortunately.

It's the sheer amount of stars of substance - I can't say I've shed a tear but many have knocked me back a bit. It feels like tomorrow will be a darker day and there are gaps that wont be getting filled.

Having been to the funerals of good friends and family members this I can't say I'm that bothered about the passing of celebrity singers who haven't had a hit in a generation, or one-hit movies stars who pissed it all away 40 years ago.

2016 had its good points, it was the last year that Donald Trump wasn't in charge for one thing.

Same here. In the last two months I've been to two funerals - both people I've known from work. Gives you perspective- celebrity deaths are sad, but to me it's more of sad news than experience that affects me personally.
