The cherry  Sherri' looks the biz.  And  I don't think it has been available in this colour/model. Without bigsby..

I'd rather go to a decent store, check it and try it out personally and I'm sure they'd do a deal to price match anyway.  If you do buy on the internet, even from someone else, then if you called the store I'm sure they'd price match with Amazon anyway.

Re case, I honestly recommend you get one - or at least a good quality well padded gig bag, to protect your new pride & joy when not in use.  Even at home, accidents can happen - you guitar could fall, get scratched, dented or worse - and don't forget semi's are more fragile than solids.  In the words of Dell boy:

Image result for you know it makes sense rodney

Re the Korean p/ups, they actually sound pretty decent.  I only changed mine because they went microphonic.  You can hear my '89 Sherry here from 6:02 to 8:25.

I started out with nothing..... but I've still got most of it left (Seasick Steve)

That vid was with the original Epiphone pups before I put in the SD SH1 59s..sounds even better now of course, but the stock pups were not bad at all as you can hear. Wiring loom, jack and switches/pots are still all stock original.

  • It sounds brill  with the stock pickups,so must be unreal with Duncan's..
Or is it all snake oil... ?
My Sherri is a recent Chinese, all stock... would be interesting to do a shootout....

I've bought a few things from them, just sort of ended up with the discount. I've just got to buy something every six months to keep it going, even if it's a single plectrum.

Picked this Sheraton up last week. Fine condition for an 11 year old guitar. Since last week when it arrived stock its had a new set of Tonerider alnico 2 pups, 4 CTS pots and Bumble Bee Caps and all the wiring upgraded. It was a git of a job but well worth it. I found the original pickups very good but a little bit muddy. The new pups have made this guitar absolutely superb. Will put up more pics but struggle with photobucket.
