I have a secret admirer?

So the post came this morning. Didn't get the usual flood of valentines cards. Most strange.

However, I did get a long tube in the mail. Me and the missus were bemused, as we hadn't ordered anything that should have come in such a tube.

Inside, with no note, no name and no return address - nothing at all, was this:



It's printed on a rather beautiful linen paper and very very well done... 

I have no idea from whence it came. Missus thinks I have a secret admirer and is now annoyed as they 'won valentines day' as she wishes she'd have sent it...

On a related point, I originally thought that heart emoticon (< 3 without the space) meant "asshat".

I thought that today would be one day when I would get away with the heart emoticon meaning 'happy valentines' or something.. just today, mind..

I know the company it was purchased from - there's a label on the wrapping - they specialise in custom prints. The post mark is from their address sadly..

I once sent a joke Valentine's card to a housemate for a laugh. I got a girl at work to write it (girl's handwriting) and made a very impressive forged postmark (using biro ink and a 10p) that bore up under intense scrutiny while he tried to establish the source.

The problem was that he was so baffled and surprised that I felt that I could not possibly tell him that it was a fake. To this day he thinks it was real. The world is better that way.

When I was about fourteen and rather easily embarrassed by girls I got *four* Valentine's cards. It turned out they were from a group of girls - who had a friend I overly obviously fancied (but unfortunately the reverse was not true) - who were taking the piss and wanted to see what the reaction would be. Teenage girls can be cruel .
