On the Mensa one I got 18 out of 30. The test alters a bit each time on this one.  

Actually enjoyed it  my brain hasn't been worked this hard on a Saturday morning since God knows when.

110 on a quick random multiple choice without looking at the questions, which is the way I prefer to live my life.  I think it's high enough to survive.  110 is supposed to be high average so that's OK then.

Indeed. My IQ certainly isn't below average; I'm good at the spatial, logical and mathematical thing. Maybe 120.

I did a real one as part of a military application in my late teens and scored 147. 

I've always been scared to do another one ever since, I really don't want to know how much I've deteriorated from a combination of abuse and natural wastage. 

I certainly feel more intellectually sluggish than I used to, though I try to never let my curiosity die as I age.

Interesting fact (don't think it's an urban myth)  - when a study was done into the IQs of people who had made scientific breakthroughs in the 20th Century it found that people with IQs of around 132 where the most likely to make breakthroughs as they would workethodically ensuring that they understood each stage before moving on where as the 150 plus IQs would rush through things and then hit brick walls and give up - makes sense to me even if I can't vouch for its absolute truthfulness

Well yeah - an IQ test measures one's ability to do IQ tests.

I redid the test this morning with less of a hangover and got 133.

The thing is, if you're an analyst or a pathologist or something you are going to be better with patterns, just the same as if you are a journalist you might be quite wordy, these things can be learnt to a degree..

I've yet to see if they equate to social adaptation and intelligence or even practical intelligence (Making and using tools efficiently and practical problem solving etc.) though.  Maybe they do or are they really are only a certain part of human intelligence.
