Boots like those posted above look horrid, I just don't get it. Like dodgy old school shoes with a wedge of cheese stuck to the bottom. I'm so glad I never have to wear "smart casual" where such abominations need to be worn. Looks like something Jeremy Clarkson would wear.

The comfiest shoes ever are Adidas Busenitz. Vans classics will do the job as well though.

Shoes/boots that will last a lifetime. Got 2 pairs. One, the Beckmans are the best boots Ive had. Needed a bit of wearing in, but they are one seriously ace pair of boots. Worth every penny. 

I love my Beckmans. The best boots I own too.

I also have a pair of Red Wing "Hawthorne" rough-out boots which are great and very hard wearing but only go with jeans.

I had a pair of Clarks but they were rubbish. Since then I have worn Ecco for when there isn't any mud, and Merrell for when there is mud.
