Most unlikely looking rock and pop stars

Just picked up a best-of album from this chap, who some of you will probably remember from the 80s… Joe Jackson. This is the back of the album.

He's very good, but the first thing that struck me was has there ever been a less conventional-looking rock or pop star? He just doesn't correspond to any of the usual stereotypes, even of the singer-songwriter variety.

Lionel Richie is quite odd-looking in some ways. But cool too.

Van Morrison? Not quite sure what first attracted his former-Miss Ireland wife to the irascible, multi-millionaire - but he's certainly not my idea of what a rock star should look like....
