they all have their original drummer even though other members of the line up have changed? Although surely Mick was an original Stone? I know next to nothing about the Eagles. Mick Fleetwood is the sole remaining original member of FM and Paice is in DP.

The Eagles have been through a few drummers ... unless you stick to albums. All the groups had the same drummer on their studio albums.

@bertie .. Bob Brunning was the first bass player in Fleetwood Mac. Peter Green named the band Fleetwood Mac after Fleetwood and McVie in the hope the latter would join the band. However McVie stayed with the Bluesbreakers. Peter Green kept the name and recruited Bob Brunning.

True, Brunning always knew he was second choice and McVie wanted to stay with the bluesbreakers because they had a reliable income compared to a new unknown band. Once Fleetwood Mac had a little success and created a buzz John McVie was persuaded to join. Brunning wrote an entertaining authorised biography of the band and was still a friend of the band until his death in 2011.

Scott Crago drums live for the Eagles and does some work in the studio after Don Henley decided he wanted to be out front singing and playing guitar. But Don's still in the band so @ESBlonde is technically right ... :-)
