I'm just getting back into it but I'm in running sandals now so don't expect to be setting any new PBs.
My feedback thread is here.
At 14 I was a sub 52 second 400m runner. By 15 I'd gone sub 51 seconds but I got sick of it and gave up shortly after. I really regret it now.
I can't help about the shape I'm in, I can't sing I ain't pretty and my legs are thin
But don't ask me what I think of you, I might not give the answer that you want me to
now I absolutely love it. Couldn't be without it but safe to say I am not and never will be good. I did well at the beginning of the year to get under 2 hours for a half marathon and a 50 minute 10k time (was a pretty hilly course as well Tbf) and I was honestly super proud. But I've accepted I'll never get any better than that. I'm not built for running at all but I still enjoy it.

However, that was a few years ago now, I'd probably come close to death if I ventured out now.
I've got back into it lately and have a raft of unrealistic, middle aged goals to achieve, as soon as I've fixed all the bits of me that don't work properly.
I took up jogging/ running about ten years ago and got up to doing charity runs of 5 miles. I stopped for a bit and when I started again found there was no residual energy or muscle or technique from having done it before and quickly gave up. I've occasionally retried but it's just bloody hard.
The funny thing is that I'm *still* pretty fast for 50 or 60 yards.

Remember, it's easier to criticise than create!
I am still very active but don't really enjoy running so I do a lot of circuit training as well as box fit stuff.
