When I started out working in my first office job at the age of 21, I quickly realised that 'workers' pretty much clock watched and wished the hours away. I used to wonder why the Managers didn't seem to and always seemed busy and engaged.
Wind forward, I'm 50 this year, a Manager in a office...but I clock watch a lot and wish the hours away. Were the Manager's back then more motivated or were they better at hiding it?
Do you clock watch while at work?

I can't help about the shape I'm in, I can't sing I ain't pretty and my legs are thin
But don't ask me what I think of you, I might not give the answer that you want me to
That's a whole other very inappropriate thread that would result in a ban
When I started work at 16 every day felt like a month. I spent most of the time reading a book hidden in my top drawer or doodling or writing bloody awful poetry.
Now...er where am I...
