If not then a toothpaste slurry can be used to polish the scratch out- google it.
If they are coated then you are screwed- I buy my glasses from a place with a "free replacement lenses for scratches" policy.

They will want about £300 and two weeks to get new lenses

I'm slightly screwed because I can't be without my glasses, but I might try them in future.
Googling this seems to mostly bring up toothpaste or brasso. Seems important to have your glasses as clean as possible first otherwise you'll create more scratches.
I've been impressed by WD40 for small scratches on laminate flooring, not really sure that works for glasses though.

You have to use a non-abrasive toothpaste.

I have a really strong astigmatism in one eye from keratoconus.
Normal frames start at £40
includes tints
I bought a load of "spares" from them
the varifocals aren't anywhere near the quality of my fancy pricey Zeiss ones, but they are OK
I'd get down there and order some - as spares
you won't be able to fix scratches on a coated lens
there are re-glazers around, I had some reglazed reasonably cheaply by http://www.reglazemyglasses.com/pack-request.html
check out mse for other re-glazers
