Wasn't bad but I like my stoner rock to have a really huge sense of groove and this didn't really get my head nodding enough
Some maybe seen as a bit more doom, or sludge to some people, but they all really fall under the stoner 'umbrella', but all of these are worth a listen to if your new to this sort of stuff:
Melvins-lysol
Bongzilla-stash
Sleep-holy mountain/jerusalem
Colourhaze-tempel
The heads-everybody knows we got nowhere
Witch-self titled (w/j.mascis)
Electric wizard-dopethrone/supercoven
Goatsnake-dog days ep
Kyuss-blues for the red sun
Burning witch-crippled lucifer
Church of misery/Iron monkey split cd
Cathedral-endtyme
Eyehategod-dopesick
Acid king-busse woods
Pentagram-first days here comp
Orange goblin-time travellin blues
Some more bands for the list:
-Stoned Jesus (Seven Thunders Roar is probably the album that made me love this genre)

-The Necromancers

-Truckfighters

Acid King
Fuzz (both albums are awesome, II maybe slightly better)
All Them Witches
Baron Crane
I find a lot of it on the youtube channel Stoned Meadow Of Doom - lots of full albums of kinda unknown but great bands. Might as well put up a plug for my band as well although the only full track we have up at the minute isn't particularly stonery!

Oh, and I'm digging your sound, keep going man!
They were on the wrong bill, bunched with a couple of NWOBHM revival bands, but they made a great noise - easily my favourite band of the night.
Linky.... https://deadlettuce.bandcamp.com/
The power of the band doesn't quite come through their studio recordings but still cool.
Cheers @RMBarradas ! Somehow a radio station in Texas found their track and played it the other day, they were very happy.
Good thread, missed it somehow.
Been listening to Elder a bit lately, here's one to kick off -
Yes, Deliverance and Wiseblood are superb albums, Pepper Keenan also played with the heavily sabbath influenced Down, Stone the Crows being a classic tune.
Another band from the southern metal/stoner style of that time were Floodgate who made one excellent album, Penalty

@prowla It's too difficult to explain in a few words* but the Wiki page is not a bad place to start:

(* But Reverend has had a pretty good stab at it.)
Floodgate/Penalty were great. Singer is always cited as a the main influence on Anselmo.
