When I have ‘upgraded’ in the past I have usually noticed background details that I previously never noticed like;
*Recognising Michael Jackson’s doing backing vocals on Stevie Wonders ‘All I Do’ song
*The distorted punky sounding backing guitar on the Fleetwood Mac’s ‘Second Hand News’
Nil Satis Nisi Optimum
Not the best comparison but its what I have here, firstly they are definitely different, I would say almost a little flat sounding against the Sony for sure on my personal mixes, but then I did find the clarity much better, its almost a "roomy" feel, like you take a dry mix and add a touch of room reverb.
They are very, very comfortable, as I listened more and switched between all 3 I found the Focal just better all round, which clearly we should expect from such a vast price difference, I think I could use them for longer periods than the other 2, though the EX25 are for sound isolation so not a great comparison.
I found I could listen at louder volumes without getting any irritating frequencies, and as I tried different types of music things just seems to appear....Beatles stuff is great !
Overall, ...really nice kit, very well made, everything about them is cool, ...would I spend £1300 ?....probably not...and Im happy with my mixes on my £150 cans....
I do intend to get a dedicated HP amp at some point to see how they sound with that.
Thats that....Im off to enter some more giveaways !

Do you use them most days or just once in a while now?

which are really comfortable, and suited my budget-around £260, I couldnt justify £600 for the HD800, and then I saw Zeos channel on youtube, which is addictive. Think Simpsons comic book guy reviewing high end stuff--really good channel for hi-fi.
Sennheiser brought out HD660's and he called them the second coming of Christ, for £500, half the impedance of the 650, so they work well with phones etc.
Anyhoo, he's just reviewed the newest Hd58x jubilees, which are SAME driver as the 660, and exactly same construction , and are £150, he even went as far as removing some foam from the 58x , by simply pulling them apart, which made them even closer to the 660's, fascinating really.
same manufacturer, same parts, £350 difference for a different colour, they actually put more effort into the cheaper ones.
If you are lucky, you have to let your ears decide.
cant get them here unfortunately.

Feedback
My main niggle is the lack of clear L/R identification, I have to check every single time I use them which is a pain as I dont keep them out with the leads connected.
