The TM is great, I can’t describe it any better than Thorpy does when he calls it a utility pedal. It has so many uses.
Both will be posted out tomorow but I’ll confirm to @Wazmeister via pm once they’re on the way.
Did you try the warthog into a clean amp at all? I've been looking at reviews ahead of time, but Can't find a clean base tone to see exactly how much dirt the Warthog can generate if you know what I mean!
But yeah, the Warthog works great into clean amps.
I put my name down for the tourbox when it was just the Team Medic that was being sent round. I have been interested by this for a while and if I'm honest I thought it was a cool concept and was interested to see how it worked.
The EQ is really powerful but seemingly without any silly extremes at either end of the pots, almost like the range has been narrowed down to make it more usable? I may be wrong.
I love how you can balance the gain and volume control to "change" the function of the TM, I honestly think this is genius on @ThorpyFX 's part. This could so easily have been an EQ & buffer but the addition of the volume and gain controls really affect how this thing functions.
I didnt play around with the buffer/true bypass settings so cant comment. My only negative would be that the boost footswitch doesnt have a seperate LED so you dont know if its going to be engaged when you switch the pedal on - its a minor quibble and I guess its a space saver so I completely get why its not there.
I mainly used the TM with the Warthog but also with my Broadcast to smooth out some of the harshness it sometimes has. I think the best thing I could say about the TM is that the Boss LS2 has always been my ultimate gigging guitarists utltity.get out of jail pedal - I'd go as far as saying that the TM has so many uses and applications that its right up there, if not better than the LS2. If I was still gigging I'd be placing an order.
Warthog. As above I dont use distortion. Its either massive fuzz, plinky cleans or a light OD. So when the Warthog was included in the tourbox I thought it would be a laugh but I wasnt expecting to be very fussed for it. I was wrong, its bloody gorgeous. I have to say I largely used it for really light OD/breakup style settings but I honestly think thats where it excels. You can crank the dials and get fuzzy which is fun and it is SUPER reactive to using the guitars volume control which was great but with gain and calibre set to around 11 is where is at for me. I cant sign its praises enough really and I will be buying one in the near future. I think Thorpy commented saying that both these pedals work well together and they really do. I had the TM after the Warthog which I wouldnt normally do but its a great way to run them. Even my missis commented on the sound and how much I was enjoying playing more in general.
Anyways that my two penneth, just remains to say thanks to @Wazmeister and @ThorpyFX and anyone else involved for setting this up. Pedals will be posted out today but I'll confirm to Waz once their posted.
It is encouraging that even your Missus noticed !!
Your Team Medic thoughts echo my own; it is great for removing harshness and for getting the best out of any amp/pedal set up.
@UnclePsychosis is next up and the Tourbox will be with you by 1pm tomorrow...
Enjoy
