Those two clips he just used a drop D on the 6th string. Amazing player.
No changes made for the percussive bit - acoustically, good percussive sounds usually means good string sound too. He doesn't actually hit it that hard. And, after all, it is finished with Ronseal Hardglaze - knew there was a reason for always using that!
It was a consideration for the pickups, though, and both the mic from the Anthem system and the Pure Mini transducers work well in that respect.

"Yes, I were there. I seen it. But it was only gentle hitting, yer honour...honest!"

And here it is. As always with these things, best through headphones

I said that I would ask Matt to do a recording of a direct comparison between the K&K Pure Mini and the LR Baggs Anthem.
I've just kicked off a thread in the Acoustics section here:

but in brief, because there are both systems installed and two independent outputs, we have the almost unique opportunity to hear the two systems during the same performance!

Oh - although modesty almost makes me hesitate to mention it - he says some really nice things about the guitar at the end
Yours humbly
Guitar sounds beautiful. Warmth, lots of body, clear, precise notes ... great player with a great guitar.
That one turned out alright.
