It really isn't.

In mitigation though I was only 15 at the time, I'd make a much better job of it now.

I did some drawings and had templates laser cut. Delta Mark II is go!

It will be for my grandson who is fascinated by guitars. He's only 2 but will grow into it.

His favourite colour is red so that's one decision less to make.

Once I've cut some wood I'll start a thread in M&M...

Yes it's very rare to find one still with the plans inside. I had to buy it as a bundle though and hoping I can offload the other mags

I feel I must add my guitar as it originated in those EE plans.

It started as a plank of wood (as shown by the cracks on the front) with 'strings' made from picture hanging wire stretched on nails to make Floyd like avant garde sounds. Then I added tuning pegs .. and then I thought to hell with it, let's make a guitar from those plans. I hated the shape of that though so this was, dare I say it, LP inspired.

Rear pic shows reinforcing plate to tie extra bodge on - the body was too small so it got a chipboard outer wrap.
Genuine plywood flat fretboard - non parallel frets - unadjustable bridge and yes there's a real threaded metal 'truss' rod in there.

I was going to make my own pickups till a friendly guy in a guitar shop told me I was mad and sold me a rather good HB.

It did get played quite a lot for a while too.
