The team decided to wear shorts instead of bikini bottoms at the European Beach Handball Championships in a move which led them to being fined £1,295.
I'm sure that the women's beach volleyball had the same 'dress code' when it first started (Atlanta?) but don't think it is still in place today. Sport itself is rarely at the front of IOC members' minds.
What's the most boring event? I reckon 10 air rifle. There seems to be no factors that can affect the outcome other than how well each shooter controls their hiccoughs.
I felt quite emotional myself to see James Guy in tears at the end realising that he had won Olympic gold.
I ask as we in Ireland send a team under the Irish flag and are proud of their efforts in competition. However well they perform, to achieve the qualification standard is an achievement in itself. Any medals won are much celebrated in the country.
Saying that I fully support and feel a part of the Lions tours and Europe in the Ryder Cup.

But then again I'm one of these weirdos who doesn't really care about flags or imaginary dividing lines on maps.
On lots of levels it's an incredible sport. Just very, very dull if it's not your thing as spotting the intricacies requires a level of appreciation that most won't have and it basically becomes a really difficult spot the difference on horseback.
Personally I think jousting would be a great Olympic event.
