For context, I'm not a fan of his and haven't bothered with any of his previous non-Oasis albums (nor the latter Oasis ones, for that matter.)
Gave it a spin as I caught the 48 Hours at Rockfield documentary on YouTube and found the new songs to be irritatingly catchy.
Going out on a limb here but, aside from Definitely Maybe, I'd say this was the best Oasis-related album out there.
Charlatans - Melting Pot
Dirty Pretty things - Waterloo to Anywhere
Elastica - Elastica
The Cribs - Men's Needs, Women's Needs, Whatever
Milburn - Well, Well, Well
(I only got half way through. Forgot how fucking awful it is)
Ocean Colour Scene - Moseley Shoals
Twisted Wheel - Twisted Wheel
I can't help about the shape I'm in, I can't sing I ain't pretty and my legs are thin
But don't ask me what I think of you, I might not give the answer that you want me to
Band of Skulls - Baby Darling Doll Face Honey
Big Thief - U.F.O.F.
Sonic Youth - Dirty
Daisy Chainsaw - Eleventeen

I haven't listened to this for ages and I had forgotten how brilliant it is. Unfortunately they were one of those bands who had a great first album and (IMO) never quite matched it with subsequent releases. They haven't done anything for a while, but apparently they are still going...

And the songs she wrote for kick inside which is quite a deep album, she wrote when she was 13. True Talent.
Mrs_bob bought me a copy on behalf of the kids for fathers' day. It's good. If you'd described it to me as "the singer and the one who does film soundtracks from Radiohead playing with a jazz drummer", I think I would have imagined it sounding just like this.
I really like The Smoke - sounds like 70s soundtrack funk played by... well, Radiohead.
Don't talk politics and don't throw stones. Your royal highnesses.
They swap instruments a lot but not in a gimmicky way, more that they are working creatively with the limitation of only having three members
They are playing All Points East at the end of August
The Bluetones - Expecting to Fly
The Streets - Original Pirate Material
Maribou State - Kingdoms in Colour
VA - Summer of Love 88 (Colin Hudd continuous mix)

Out this week I think, which means I should be getting a parcel from their record label soon.
Boo-Bop-A-Boo by The Magnetic, a neo rockabilly band from Russia, and really rather good.
Absolutely great, a real slow burn with a guitar part very reminiscent of Zep's 'Going to California"
