Yeah maybe me too! That being said, there does seem to be quite a range of weights, even for 4-strings. You can get 4-strings well under 9lbs if you look around... or quite a bit over. 9lbs for a 5, like @Rich31k 's one, isn't too bad! I have 4 strings heavier than that...

I just saw what you referred to. It's a 4 string and I'm more into 5s unfortunately. Shame because the price is decent and I'm in Hertfordshire as well

I've just had this upgraded by @Corvus to have decent pots and a blend and a hipshot kickass bridge.

It's taken what was a good bass and made it genuinely superb.

The setup is also sublime now.

This feels good, the neck feels great to me, it looks cool in black. Just the bridge, mainly the saddles, were budget as were the mini pots and excess wire
