Does anyone here do Slimming World?
A mate of mine does that and thinks it really works too.

Although when it comes to weigh in day she goes a bit far if she thinks she's been a bit naughty - she'll nip off to the lav to take off all her underwear, and take a ring off too.

I have seen said underwear and there is no way it weighs more than a couple of ounces!

How, she cuts it off? How much can her anus weigh?

The temptation to weigh after half a week of being good is all consuming.

    But I won't.

Right, a few days late but I'm in.

Current weight: 14st 12lb this has equalled the heaviest I've ever been and I'm not happy about it at all. Probably as a result of depression last year.
    Target Weight: 13st 0lb
Method: Cut way down on beers, less general crap and more home cooked meals. Tis will result in a dramatic reduction of my carb intake.
    Considering using CLA's to help.
Get back to cycling at least 4 times a week, including Sufferfest classes.
Mini workouts at home (pushups, situps, planks and stretching).

Up until mid last year I cycled to work at least 3 days a week and would do a 2-4 hour ride once a week. I still drank a bit too much and ate junk but it seems that I kept a balance with the exercise. Then my sister fell ill with Leukemia and eventually lost her battle and then my workload/hours increased to the point where I neither had the time or motivation to do anything with my free time than drink beer and watch TV. Looking back I realised I was suffering with depression, not surprising really. Now I'm climbing out of the rut and am determined to have a fresh start in life.

    Argh.
    Weakness.
Had a call out to Cromer, working next to a chippy.

Yes I did, I now have the heavy anus of shame.

My issue is twofold, firstly I work exclusively in food retail outlets, secondly I have the will power breaking strain of a warm kit Kat.

    Mmmmmm kit Kat.

I would love to be the weight I was when I first used to think I was horribly overweight.
Weirdly enough, years ago when my GP started prescribing me Levothyroxine for a sluggish thyroid I foolishly thought I would start losing weight. It seems to have made me gain weight.

I've also lost 4lbs. I don't suppose it will drop off like that every week though. Nice to see the scales showing less than 14 st again!

  • Lost nout, but it's been a horrible week here, not been able to get out and I'm feeling quite depressed. Hoping that today onwards things can pick up.

Apologies for letting the side down.

    It's lapse not relapse.

Horrible week for dieting here - Easter and my son's birthday. Having a reasonably physically active week ( by my standards) but I suspect I'm lieing to myself that I'm still on course. All will be revealed Sunday... :anguished:

Anyway, the drinking water thing I can't do. Most days my fluid intake is a lot of tea and some coffee, maybe a diet fizzy drink. Yesterday I drank a couple of glasses of no sugar orange squash but water is really a last resort for me. In cold weather I pretty much don't drink anything cold at all as it can make my TMJ play up. I guess the answer is just do it but I've quite surprised myself by how much I dislike water.

My mate joined in Feb, and asked me to join him.

Brilliant ! Took it easy and had a holiday in between, and Ive lost a stone.

Easy simple, achievable and not too extreme.

If my mate asked me to join him at weight watchers, I'd jolly well punch him on the nose  :)

Now I've had a proper read of this thread it is clear some of you were not eating properly in the first place.

Some people have starting weights higher than my goal weight. I can only assume you are underfed and in very poor health.

Either that or I'm... never mind. Nothing to see.

    Height is a big factor.

    15 stone and 5' 4" is very different to 6' 4" and 15 stone
