I really rate this forum and have had some excellent input from some enthusiastic and wonderfully knowledgable guitarist musicians.  But I do wonder where it's going ?

You can put up a genuine post about something relevant only for it to disappear forever under the volume of posts - never to be seen.

No critisicm of the forum organisers intended whatsoever.  But exactly how long will it be before Theresa May, motorbikes and <insert pointless topic of your choice> out rank posts about guitars?

But all the guitar topics are in the guitar forum and all the off topic ones are in the off topic forum. Surely that makes it easier to avoid the off topic stuff?

I think he has a point. Let's move all that boring guitar crap to off topic, it's really getting in the way of important stuff like which bubble bath to use if you're ginger and vote Tory... Or something

You are right. I post a pointless and uninteresting topic wanting help with an overdrive pedal and get zero replies.  Yet this had 8 posts inside 15 seconds.  Matey I reckon.

Also I think the fact people talk about other things on here outside of guitars make it more of a community, we cover everything from humour threads to people dealing with serious illness, this place is fun, relaxed and supportive all at the right times. I've honestly never seen an online community like it.

Plus there's only so many times you can do "toploader or string through what's best" or "look at my new Les Paul it's wood coloured" threads
