The F-holes have been fixed! And by that I mean that they are now white.

I'm not 100% convinced they've actually been bound (could well be a finish trick given the speed of the "repair") but I won't know for sure until it arrives. I've accepted the latest batch of pics as good enough to have it sent out so I should have the tracking number shortly and an ETA. It's being delivered via insured air-freight, so with a bit of luck it won't get held for too long in customs here like they usually do.

Here's a few more pics to keep you drooling;

I can't say if the finish is any darker than expected yet as the lighting is completely different from the pics off of their website, but the flake size looks good and this seems to be on track for how Pelham can look so far. Either way, I like it.

I might have a "proper" trapeze on the way too with the correct sized diamond embossed on it, most of the copies around are too small, and none are available in nickel. All of the hardware will end up being swapped out for nickel anyway btw, and I'll be fitting some post converters to let me use an ABR-1 style bridge without any hassle. That way I can easily pop some Nylon 6/6 saddles on like Trini's are supposed to have. It definitely needs a pickguard to set it off though, I'm keeping an eye out for a reasonably priced one with the multi-thickness laminates like they're supposed to have. The irritating thing is that I have an unused sheet of the correct material sat here, but no where to do any work! At least this way I can fit the mandolin-style mounting bracket rather than the cheapy bent-metal type.

I need to source a block or two of ebony too, as I'm going to carve a shield block to fit onto the trapeze. I'm going to modify slightly from the original by adding a 12" radius to the face, and potentially inlaying it with an original design in MOP, rather than adding the "correct" BWB plaque that Trini's have.

All appendages are now crossed in the hope that it's worth the wait. :O

Given what I've seen of the others, it'll likely be a ginormous hunk of polystyrene! They did say that if I wanted a hardcase for it they'd prefer to ship it separately as it wouldn't be as safe as their normal shipping containers.

Hope it's worth the wait. If it plays ok , there will soon be an alpine white 355 on its way to me with 'Lerxst' on the headstock :-)

They really does look lovely, it'd be worth the cost as a cool wall hanger imo.
