IT'S HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!

And by it, I mean the new Trapeze that I'd pre-bought in anticipation of the Trini's actual arrival. 

It's still not arrived at the regional hub, so there will be no unboxing today.

This one has the diamond like the originals, and is also full-sized unlike most of the trapezes on the market. It's a bit smaller than I'd imagined, but appears to be the correct length. Now I just need to get my hands on some ebony to make the shield block and finish it off nicely. I'd not noticed before from photos but the trapeze has a curved top-face too, so that'll work nicely for the 12" rad I planned on adding to the ebony.

Although I was bidding on a 60s one off of an unknown guitar that appeared to be the same part as the originals would have had. Here's an old one on a Trini Custom, with the block & plaque;

I'm really tempted to have a crack at inlaying something on there, I've not done any before but it's something I'd like to try. Either way, I expect I'll make a couple of blocks for spares ( @travisthedog - let me know if you want a rosewood one for yours) once I've got the fit right so I might well take you up on that kind offer, sir!

Aaaaaaand it's out of customs! On it's way to Plymouth right now, I should be able to pick it up in the morning from the depot.

Total cost (incl tax): £332.19

Two months & 1 day from payment, to delivery.

Not bad... unless it's shit.

I'm going to try and just do a small post, initial impressions 'n all that. My final deadline is the 23rd so I can't afford to take tons of time out to take photos of a guitar that'll still be here in a week or so. I'll give it a good inspection though and check the neck/frets out in their entirety, as well as fit & finish for any of you waiting to pull the trigger on an order.
