Love the Hello Sailor Pedals. That Kossoff drive is great tone device. 

I need to tidy up my board and get it on here.

Saw the new Imperial Electrical last weekend on YouTube at NAMM & ordered one. Arrived yesterday and its really alive in the sense it needs careful guitar volume input to tame it or it becomes too much. A lot of fun but not 100% keeper at the mo

@kossofffan ;;curious about the Kossoff drive.  As a big Kossoff fan myself, I always felt he got most of his tone from volume (and having been onstage in front of his stack many years ago, my ears confirm that too!).   It looks a bit like a Klon clone, with the three knobs, but I am guessing that it is something different to that?

First off, you lucky lucky chap to have seen him play!
The amazing builder that is Joe from Hello Sailor Effects will use a variety of knobs, enclosures & colour schemes for the Kossoff Drive pedals. There's four different styles on facebook now!
It's a rich big sounding effect which is absolutely accurate to the live shows recording in Manchester & Stockholm in 1970.

That's mainly because of my age!  I actually saw Free about 8 times and saw Back Street Crawler too.  I was also at Leeds when we had to help him onto the stage with John Martyn.  He still played amazingly though.  He is one of my favourite guitarists to this day.  The first pickups that I got from Tim at Bare Knuckle were voiced to get me a similar sound to him (this is back in 2004, so really going back).
