Indeed. Rarer than I initially thought. I can find very, very few references to un-chambered Les Pauls under 8lbs. Quite a catch it seems.

You lot and your featherweight guitars.

20 plus years, around 45 weddings per year, with a 10 hour day at each, and an average weight of more than 11lb in two bodies and two lenses shared between both shoulders started to get annoying.

My 9lb 5oz R8 feels like it means business and won’t blow away in the wind like some of yours ;-)

My a string buzzing all the way along the fretboard, low and high notes... not what I’d expected reading all the posts here so far

Try loosening the truss rod a touch. If anything the neck will have shifted since factory setup

Probably just a setup thing and easily sorted via a truss rod tweak or raising the action, depending on what's causing it.

While it would probably suit some, mine arrived from Peach with zero neck relief and a very low action.

A quarter turn of the truss rod and raising the action by almost 1mm at the 12th fret made all the difference for me.

I do still think the nut slots should have been cut a bit deeper at the factory though.

You’re right, there was a filter, had the camera app set to default to it. 

Here is without - no tweaking. The case does look kinda red still in the light of that room.

Trouble is my argument of "I don't have 2.5k to spend on a guitar" has somehow morphed into "BecauseI didn't get an R8, I've got 2.5k to drop on guitar stuff now". I keep telling myself it's not how it works, but I think I might have caught some residual fallout or something ...
