Guitar Guitar R9 sale - Anyone getting excited about these

Hi All

(Admins if already a thread on this please delete - I just couldn't see it)

 I noticed GG have 40 or so R9s and R0s at a big discount, but doesn't seem to be same frenzy as there was with the R8s

Any thoughts?

I think the general consensus is an extra £1000 for a flame top doesn't make sense.

Still, plenty of people have bought them, and fair play to them.

But R9 is one more than R8.... no?

Yup..  It seems £2499 was the "right" price for the right guitar....  An extra grand for basically the same guitar is quite a lot for little in return.

Do R9s go up to 11 then?  That would be worth it

Yeah. You get upgraded knobs on the R9's compared to the R8's - hence the +1 in the names

Peach doesn't seem to have taken part in the £3499 R9's deal, or at least yet, but between just GuitarGuitar and Anderton's that's a hell of a lot of R9's that will sell over the coming weeks.

I really do feel for anyone who bought at the usual price recently, especially those that want to move them on.

I couldn't cope with the work load - Plus it would cost me less if I was to sell £10 notes for £9

Wait till after Brexit - you'll be lucky to get £9 for your £10 notes..

Its because £2500 is a happy price for so many people. Once you get above £3k it all gets a bit more serious.

go for it - I doubt will see such prices again - As it stands these new prices are basically what a clean used version would have cost you less than a month ago

I’m going to have a look at one on Saturday at GG, I really like my 2014 R0 but looking for that slightly chunkier neck profile.

£2.5k is a personal high limit for me. Probably because I'm saving for a house deposit.

I think everyone's excitement budget is used up for the rest of the year.

Saying this as if I haven't suddenly got Single Cut Fever all over my watchlists.

This. The purchasing and general buzz around the R8 illustrates what the price point people think these guitars are worth is.

3.5? Its not getting anywhere near the same level.
