Is it the answerphone? If you’ve turned off the mains and it’s not off the phoneline, gas or water, then it must be a battery or a very precise animal. I think it’s an object with a battery in it, and you have to be directed to it by volume alone. You will find it in the end

We have virgin fibre and BT but never had BT connected.

Every 32 seconds you say.. sounds very similar to a problem i had. it turned out to be a bird. Actually a Cuckoo  with a Tweet impediment that couldn't tell the time.(I originally thought it had concusion.)  Anyway  Bought it a watch for Christmas and all sorted now. Only problem is we get it every 32 seconds and every hour on the hour now.
