Omega Seamasters are the most unbreakable watches going. I have one and a Speedmaster.
I think any watch made of steel is going to be unbreakable.

The balance in a mechanical, not so much.

My favourite Seamasters are the old Bond type with the wavy dials. I have the blue and black models....

    As for Speedys....

Very nice, that's the quartz version.

Re pics, I just host all mine on Photobucket and when I want to post them on here rollover the "get links" icon above the pic, click on  direct link (which will show as copied) and paste into the box that opens when you click on the picture icon on the top of reply box here.

    Hope that helps.

Our department boss has a Speedmaster. Absolutely lovely thing. Can't justify it till I get a few more promotions though! More likely than a Sub though- half the bloody price!

I have a seamaster that I was bought as 30th pressie 10 years ago. Its been back to omega 3 times and cost a third of its value st least in repairs - so dont believe anyone who says they are unbreakable!!!!

My dear old gran just left me £1000 and I want to get a dress watch to go wit the seamaster. I want a tag Monaco but a grand ain't enough

     Any ideas

I bought the Sebastian Vettel /Mark Webber Red Bull Racing Casio Edifice EF-558SG-1A Chronograph from Amazon last year. This is probably one of the biggest chronographs available. Retails for £175 from High Street jewellers.

Soon after, I bought the Citizen Calibre 2100 AV0031-59A EcoDrive Chronograph, though mine is the blackface version. This is 1mm smaller than the Casio, but still a huge watch. This model is now discontinued, but old stock is still available. The replacement model/s is/are ugly.

I saw the Invicta Venom Reserve 13891 in New York City in December 2013, but I did not have the cash to buy it. It is huge . . . bigger than the Casio Edifice at 52mm diameter, but there is a smaller version at 46mm diameter. This is a stunning looking watch in highly polished gold. There is also a fantastic blueface version.

I love watches. Would love a Submariner, a Seamaster and a Speedmaster. However much the same as my guitars I look for bargains. Just got this 1968 Seiko 7265 Auto off eBay for just under £20! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v375/Niallmo/401527f323e3f79b8c554e8378beaef6_zpsf29c503b.jpg need a nicer, original strap but it's keeping time very well and to me looks very cool!

    It's gold actually, a 6139-6002 from December '74.

They are pretty sought after nowadays as it was later found to be the first auto chrono worn in space by Col. Pogue on Skylab.

I like quirky ones. I read about the Russian made 1970's Sekonda Autos and decided I needed one so again, cheap on eBay came this: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v375/Niallmo/9c7d929ad947f2dfa404f0f9b71b0fde_zps7a250490.jpg The other one is an Ostvok Amphibian mechanical wind. Czech made (IIRC) version of the more famous Vostok watches.

It was a mechanical watch, and cost me about £90. Maxed out on my first credit card in, I think, 1975.

I have a lovely ESQ (made by Movado) that I've never worn that can be yours for £80 (they retail at about £250) if you want a cheaper alternative and still have change for a higher end model to add to your collection.

If you buy this one too for £60, I'll throw in a Jasper Conran leather watch box (holds 4 watches) ;)

Both have just had new batteries.
