Looks like it’s a simple pathway from what I understand. So no clever routing like the helix has.

Eric Klein (head helix dude) also said “all helix models with few caveats” on a TGP post, so I’m assuming not every model. Perhaps some need too much DSP for this new unit.

    Find out shortly I suppose.

Ill explain tomorrow. Been a long day setting the booth up and I’ve just got back to the hotel. Sleepy time. Soz. Not soz.

Looks good.. no XLR outs which might be a deal breaker for some although they are balanced jacks.... Treadle looks a bit flimsy but I may be wrong.

But the size, the sounds (no doubt) and the 3rd IR capability makes this enticing...

Curious how price wise it'll compare with the Helix LT.

is it crazy how saying sentences backwards creates backwards sentences saying how crazy it is?

    Does it have midi?
Looks like there is no dedicated aux in (or maybe that is via bluetooth?)

So it's like a Helix Jnr? Kinda cool, and means those who don't want to spend as much enter the Helix world.

  • Argh, so close - if only it had an amp control output for channel switching...

if its stripped back, is it going to have helix amp models or POD ones?

Maybe that's what the amp out is?

Lack of midi is a bit of a miss for me. If you want to add external effects (I'm looking at you pitch shifting) it's nice to be able to control those via midi from the footswitches on the main unit, using something like a Morningstar ML5. I know you can already do that with Helix. But Helix is too big to put on a board, for me. I guess Line 6 would point me in the direction of HX stomp if I wanted to put something from them on a board, and this is not intended for that 'use-case'.

As a compact all in one 'Helix-lite', at a decent price and for that purpose it still looks pretty interesting and should do well I think.

They already have Firehawk FX with the POD ones. So I'd guess Helix.

Basically a supercharged HX, still sound like a Helix though :(
