New baffles made today after a shipment arrived from Germany, I think the oxblood contrast with the pine is pretty cool.

I have some light wheat stuff to contrast with the dark walnut cab that’s under construction...

Walnut and poplar cabs ready for staining and finishing.

ended up with a fancy walnut racing stripe on the poplar inlay, almost like I fecked up the measurements and had to increase the internal dims.....

What do you guys think about the finish for the poplar cab?

I was originally going to paint it in sea foam green with a white baffle (think toneking) but now with the walnut feature it’s got to be some kind of clear.

Its going up for sale hence the question

Walnut cab pretty much done, I ended up using Tung Oil as a finish, should mellow out nicely

I think the seafoam green looks better on the 68 with the silver plate, that looks great in the walnut for me.
