Was watching the spaceX YouTube channel last night, shame it was delayed, but understandable. I love all the touchscreens and stuff, but a part of me misses all the knobs and buttons :)

Let's hope the touchscreens, audio etc. doesn't decide to go blank, like it does on my Tesla every other week, otherwise shit's going to get interesting for Bob & Doug. Difference being, when mine springs back into life, I havent really missed the satnav, and probably in Tesco car park or something, whereas Bob & Doug might find themselves in the middle of an asteroid belt.

Have to hand it to Bob & Doug though. I imagine they needed to factor in the weight of their massive balls when judging fuel requirements.

How can you social distance and organise a space launch?
Testing and quarantine prior to putting them all together.

Sounds like we may be launching today. Weather is go apparently. Fingers crossed.
(I’ve decided I’m going to start confirming all day to day plans in astronaut parlance -
Dad, can I play Fortnite now?
Sorry son - we are currently tracking one anomalous condition, namely your parental aggravation factor - we are currently no go for Fortnite.  - stand by for go/no go son, dependant on your PAF condition becoming nominal).

Fingers crossed it goes better than the SpaceX Starship engine test yesterday.

I was sat in my garden the other night waiting for it, only to put on the Livestream and see it was cancelled. So really looking forward to it.

Is it true that this is the first launch by NASA/from the USA in 11 years? Can't remember where I read that. I've been watching a lot of space related videos on Youtube, I find it absolutely fascinating.

ah here was where I read it. It is the first manned mission in a decade, which is a bit mind blowing and highlights the lack of budget NASA have had. No wonder private companies are getting involved.

Quite right too. First commercial human launch. First NASA launch since 2011. First financially viable launch for NASA as well..
