AND they recovered the launch vehicle for re-use!

The drone ship had an epic name as well... (told you he was as mad as a box of frogs)
Yep, I think from "Excession" by Iain M Banks.

Awesome event, and fantastic pictures. Looking forward to seeing the docking with ISS tomorrow.

That was just amazing. Unfortunately there was a tactical loss of video feed for the actual landing. But it is an amazing technological feat.

I watched the launch, mind blowing really, and I just managed to see it pass.

    A genuinely great achievement.
Now if someone could please tell the Musky One to stop monumentally screwing up the sky with his Starlink satellites, I (& a few others) would be ever so grateful.

He may be madder than a box of frogs, but Elon Musk actually is a bit of a genius really....
I suspect his company’s share price has just gone up a smidgen..
Quite right too. First commercial human launch. First NASA launch since 2011. First financially viable launch for NASA as well..

One step closer to Weylon Industries.

And if you fancy a go at docking the vehicle to the ISS...

Crashed it twice so far, thankfully for Bob and Doug it's automated so they should be OK.

Watched it last night. Pretty exciting.

Seen live launches a couple of times.

I took this pic from my son's back yard previously. He lives on the space coast.

I still think that Elon Musk is a Bond Villain and that this is just the next step in his plan for world domination. He has it all, bit eccentric, improbable name, charismatic but slightly odd persona, his own fleet of controllable vehicles and now space ships

And on the separation too, methinks the media people had something to do with that ;)

Doug and Bob are poor astronaut names.
    Red ones are better.

Frank and Dave weren’t much better...

Everyone knows that astronauts should be fighter pilots, which means every one of them should be called Steve or Roger, and they must all take an appropriate nickname, like Ace or Buck.

Failing that, they should all be named after Thunderbirds characters, who were in turn named after astronauts.
