Right.

Inspired in particular by @GavRichList's superlative commitment to the ancient and noble art of GASsitry, time for a paean to these idiosyncratic icons.

Quirky stylings, weird necks, batshit crazy concepts of customer support, virtually impossible to obtain aftermarket/spare parts, the most expensive and unobtainable cases this side of Pandora's Box and yet ... some of the most utterly, achingly cool outlaw guitar designs ever conceived.

Laydeez and Djentlemen, it is indeed Time for The Fretboard Rickenbacker Club.  Let's see 'em.  ALL of 'em.

Here's mine.  1986 360/12.  Answers to the name of 'Clanger'.  Or, to my long-suffering wife, family and neighbours, 'That Fucking Racket Again'.

Fanny jangle box is what we used to call these in the late '80s. Basically, if you had a floppy fringe, some baggy trousers and one of these, that was what it got called where I was from in North London.

Would be rude not to re-submit this pair then.

    1988 330/6 in Mapleglo.

    2020 620/6 in Jetglo.

Hard to pick a favourite from the two, not least because I’ve had longer yawns than I have owned them... however they’re both doing it for me. The 330 has a small but very comfortable neck once you’re used to it. The 620s neck is pretty big and more traditional feeling. I may commit sacrilege and slightly satin the back of the neck as my only complaint so far is that it’s a bit grabby. I’m aware of the devaluing, but I have zero intention of selling so it’s a non issue to me.

Indeed it is - yours has the same colour tone as my amber maple Gretsch.

I do like the paler mapleglo, though I know it's not to everyone's taste.
