    Cheers Dan, hope your Tele's been good.
    It's fantastic thanks Bill - thanks again for everything you did to bring it to life. I found the invoice for the body over the weekend - to my shame I've had it nearly ten years, and this is the first time it's been a playable instrument. It's great to have it all in one piece - cheers :)

    @ttony thanks, and likewise!

    And this one's all but ready for paint, but on hold while getting back to a set neck build.
    Maybe candy apple, or blue over gold, see how the mood strikes -

    Love the look of that Bill!  And you've put the fretboard dots in a sensible position too
    ;)
    Having trouble posting images here?  This might help.

    Had a bit of a disaster with this and was fed up with the thing, couldn't face sanding & polishing it - managed to get a few gold sparkles buried in it... must've mixed my clears & metallics cleaning gear up. They only show in sunlight or very strong light but it's well annoying, would be a right PITA to strip. I decided to get onto the final stretch though and start polishing.

    The neck's 9-pieces with streaky ebony board which fits in with the mineral-streaky top and the randomness of the pear body back (bits of light flame and colouring change and pin knots etc). The neck maple is pretty streaky with bits of birds eye and this 'n that. OK to use for a neck because the centre section is strong and springy.

    I think you need to double check the word 'disaster' in a dictionary, mate.

    Hands up anyone who thinks that that's turned out to be anything but absolutely stunning?

    Thought not. :D

    :)
    Thanks mate. I found a few gold sparkles, that show in strong direct light, only saw them taking it out in the sun. Stripped it.. repainted... still there... can't tell you how fed up I was. But there it is, I'll put it up for sale with mention of that and dropped price I guess and carry on :) cheers again.

    I should have asked to take a look at that Tele when I was over.

    Looks awesome.

    Best build thread I’ve ever seen, Bill. Honestly mate, my finger’s sore from all the wows I’ve had to award! Love, love, love it.
