Have I been ripped off?

I arranged to buy a Sansamp pedal on Facebook Marketplace and it didn't arrive, despite vague assurances that his daughter had sent it and that he would try a mate who works for Yodel.

The seller is called Mick Mason (https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100010826582679)(https://uk.linkedin.com/in/mick-mason-344b21104), based in Leicester, and he plays in a tribute band called Everything Changes (Take That), who seem to be quite successful.

I paid him on Nov 20th, which is coming up to a month ago, so I'm concerned that I've been ripped off for my £100.

Does anybody know this person or have you had dealings with him?

I see he's now got three SansAmps and other items up for sale.

Someone mentioned to me that there had been another post about someone selling things and going through the same story.

He's now responded that he will refund, so I'm waiting to see.

UPDATE 22/12: I HAVE NOW RECEIVED MY REFUND.

    In all seriousness it looks like he's got quite a public profile, usually scammers aren't the type to advertise themselves so much. He could be honest in that he asked somebody else to post for him if he's busy with his gigs, but that's no excuse for waiting a month.

    Hopefully the refund will be coming soon - how did you pay?

    Lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on mine.
    Also chips are "Plant-based" no matter how you cook them.

    The malicious part of me is thinking you should post that link to the Leicester Mercury on all his sales threads until he pays you off to shut you up. Someone more level-headed than me will hopefully be along in a minute to tell you why that's a bad idea.

    A mutual FB friend had someone else contact him who was ripped off.

    Yep - in January he was given a sentence suspended for 2 years, so they'd presumably be interested to know that he's conducting further fraud via Facebook.
