The impact of lockdown or a midlife crisis?

This time last year I knew this was fugly and I shouldn’t go near it with a barge-pole, but something has changed. Now I really want one. Is it 2020 PTSD and I need support, or am I vainly trying too hard to be cool when I know I’m just another fat, bald and well past it middle-aged man? Is this the guitar equivalent of buying a Harley Davidson? It’s not even like this is a new release, these have been slagged off for ages! I’ll just leave this here, I’m too far gone:

Would it be fair to say that the late-stage capitalism iteration of Fender is struggling to feed the beast? That's a guitar.....and that's the nicest thing to say that I can think of.

I couldn’t pull the above off, I definitely wouldn’t managed a V! I think a V would feel too metal too, the maverick dorado has an indie junk shop etiquette that in my clearly frazzled mind is passable.

That’s more unpleasant than a very unpleasant thing indeed. If the money’s burning a hole your your pocket, give it to a homeless charity....

It’s another of those Fender past failures reissued, perhaps they think that they’ll have better luck second time around, ( like Gibson with the Flying V, Explorer and Firebird etc.). The bottom line is that if you can’t resist it buy it.

Hmm it seems the only thing in Fender’s parallel universe is a junk bin of unused parts. I would suggest popping over to world past and present of Mr Fano if you want mixed up caster
