Teles  (for sure) through ac30s hidden in Marshall stacks - I think

    [edit]
though in the studio, less hiding needed!!
I don't think I ever say FR playing anything but a tele. Once saw some footage of Rick playing a Gibson (but can't remember what it was). SG maybe.

Just before the reunion shows then.

Rhino adds a lot to them, IMHO

Yup - Rick played a few different things through the year - certainly in the 80s/90s he did

Really - so were AC30s too uncool for a rock band? Or did they have some sort of endorsement deal with Marshall?

I think I prefer the songs where they slow the tempo down (like this one for instance). The others are too fast.

It was a choice of Quo on the second stage or Linkin Park on the main.  The whole nu-metal thing passed me by, so I was definitely going for Quo.  My brother was on the fence, but walking past one of the stalls playing some Quo made his mind up.

    They were awesome.

    Ease Your Mind

Another slow-ie, and another Alan Lancaster track.

I was at a gig (Ipswich I think), mid 00's.

Half way through a song, half way through the set, all the stage lights went out.

    They didn't miss a beat ...

Did FR play all the fingered parts or did Rick play any of them. Seems to me that Rick stuck to power chords and 12 bar and not much else. Could be wrong.

    Yup - mostly.

    Rick did the rhythm.

Watch a video of him playing Caroline.  Wrist action!!

Allegedly, band finished in the studio at the end of the day's session, leaving Rick on a stool noodling, and some "supplies".

Band return next morning, to find Rick, still on the stool, minus the supplies, but with this track fully written and ready to go.

First thing I noticed about Mystery Song is it's quite long. Are we in for a bit of prog?
