By which I mean the ludicrous amounts they currently have. Go to one single wing at each end. No add ons, fins or anything.

Take out any need for fuel saving. It's F1. It should be balls out for the race.

That'll make the situation even worse as when following other cars they will lose 50% of their downforce at a stroke. What you want to lose is that bloody plank on the floor and minimum ride heights. Problem solved, although you still have to contend  with mickey mouse tyres.

Suggestion of thunderstorms for qualifying, and Hamster is already talking down his chances of a title. Vettel might have a gearbox penalty, too.

It will be tough for Hamilton .. he has lots of penalties heading his way.

50% of not much is better than 50% of a lot.
Ground effects would help but that isn't without its problems either, and nobody wants to be the one responsible for a car ending up in the crowd just because the nose lifted 3 cm off the floor.

As long as f1 attempts to remain as the "fastest" class in the world, this problem will exist.

Personally, I think people should adjust their expectations. F1 is never going to be a class with consistent parity of performance through the field and close racing each week.

Crikey - just watched my first Formula E race in about a year. Blinding good racing! Prost and Senna on the podium, and tomorrow's title decider will be awesome.

Gave up on FE, the cars sound like milk floats, and are about as slow.

  • I think the commentators could make the races more entertaining with some witty dialogue.... "its started raining, that will make the track wetter than a lubed up porn stars fanny" or "Hamilton was a right sulky twat during his post race interview". And they should transmit all driver dialogue when they get held up by slower drivers with no beeping, they could create a charity swear box, I predict Raikonnen would be bankrupt after a season :)

    :-)

Sadly Toto's looking at team orders. I wonder if Nico will get a new contract if he fails to win the WC. He didn't even attempt to turn his steering wheel ..

Team orders as a last resort to gift Rosberg a title? He can't win on a level playing field.

Rosberg is one of the worst cheats in F1 since Schumacher.
