    Hello ,

Do you think it would be good to have a quick roll call to see who is confirmed so far ?

Also may be worth putting the songs from previous jams back on the list to pad out the set list. Appreciate its extra work @stratman3142 but the completed line ups are a bit thin on the ground at the minute  :#

OK, I'll do that at the next update. But I'll leave the roles empty until people propose themselves.

    It's not a competition.

Am ok with drums on 'I Believe In A Thing Called Love', "Champaign Supernova" and can learn "Rebel Yell" fairly easily.
    Excellent. Here's another update.

We've now got enough roles to get through 'Champagne Supernova' (assuming @Neilybob is happy to play it without a 2nd guitar , and also enough to get through Rebel Yell.

    Yep happy to do that.

  • Regarding the songs I pitched - they are just a starting point in order to (hopefully) get a two or three into the set - dependent on whether anyone else fancies playing them ?

If I were to rank, I would go in order of -

    Sweet Jane
    Hanging Around
    The Passenger
    Queen Bitch
    Public Image

Before we go any further, I wondered if we could try to cover at least 2 or 3 of the songs pitched by @SPECTRUM001, who's new to the jams.

Some of the roles have been filled and it would be good if we could get complete line ups for 2 or 3 See below.

I'm happy to cover either bass or guitar. Can we get any budding vocalists in particular?

I assume we haven't heard from @mart for his wonderful bass playing?

Sorry, I'm going to have to take a rain-check on this one - just too much going on at the mo.

My thoughts on the rest of SPECTRUM001 suggestions from a drumming point of view.

Sweet Janes - ok - simple enough to learn.
Passenger - ok - simple enough to learn.
London Calling - some tricky hit hat triplet patterns - doable, but alot of work.
Hanging around (Stranglers) - cant find notation - alot of work to learn
Queen Bitch - Can learn that ok
Public Image - Can learn that ok
White Riot - Clash - simple enough to learn.
Waiting for the man - cant find any notation but simple enough to learn.

    @bobblehat @roberty @Brocco @spark240 ;
How are we going to end Run to You - as per the record (With just drums and vocals) or just fall apart as usual?

When I’ve done it before it’s usually with an enthusiastic Run to you !

As @mart sadly can't make it, we're going to have to share bass duties. I don't mind doing a few, but anyone else that can chip in will be much appreciated.

I'll bring my new Mark Bass CMD 121p IV combo. It's small, but it should be loud enough, or we could take a line out from it to the PA. I'll also bring a bass.

If we need extra sound reinforcement , I could bring a DXR10 MK II powered PA speaker, which could be used as an FRFR or monitor etc.

I expect there'll be no shortage of guitars, guitar amps, guitar FX pedals and modellers/multi FX, based on previous jams

Are there any others you fancy playing bass on? I see I've already got you down on bass for Rebel Yell.

An update to the song list will follow shortly.

Here's a new mega song list because I've included songs from the previous jam, at the suggestion of @bobblehat

The songs from the previous jam are in italics at the bottom of the list. We can pull some of these into the song list if we can fill enough roles.

I expect we'll lose many from the list, owing to lack of interest, and probably want to aim for no more than about 30 songs eventually, given that we'll probably play some songs more than once with different line-ups.

I've greyed out the songs that @mrkb thinks might require too much work on his part. So unless we find another drummer I expect these will go.

As usual, shout if you spot any errors.

**Image removed. See more recent post for the latest update of the song list**

Thanks @stratman3142. You mentioned that you could move to bass on La Grange if someone could take over your 2nd guitar part. Hybrid picking is not something I have tried before - any tips on getting to grips with this technique?

Question for @SPECTRUM001 on Queen Bitch - will you be playing the fill / lick over the chorus, if so, we could move you to 1st guitar and I could move to 2nd.
