I can't remember the last time I did an electric gig without a pedal tuner of some kind - essential if only as a 'switching cables/guitar' mute.

I do have a little headstock one for workbench tuning where it only needs to be jazz close, but I'm not a fan in gig environments.

I had a drummer answer my ad recently who had no kit, no transport and who hadn’t played for years, but assured me it’d be fine.

The good news is I have found the people for the band. So to all of you banging your head against a brick wall just keep doing it, it will pay off eventually. Just don't settle and trust your gut. I guess only time will tell but initially they both seem, keen, competent, fun and on the same page in terms of the plan. So fingers crossed. Watch this space!
