First time I’m going to this.

Are there deals to be had or just temporary shops with usual prices?

Is this show any good for preowned gear or is it more of a trade show?

There is some. Many of the retailers bring used and then are the tills for the exhibitors selling new. The bigger exhibitors aren't set up for direct to public sales so they will go through Absolute / Fair Deal / PMT.

It is a consumer show. Trade is B2B in the exhibition world.

No shortage of deals from the retailers that are exhibiting  - Plus many distributor/manufactures, that are exhibiting, work with appropriate retailers at the show,, to create additional show deals - Plus a lot of educational style demos, that are not just about playing the guitar, but a host of related accessories, be it amps, pedals, recording etc - So the show is not just about selling, but also the 'lifestyle' of been a guitar player, be it computer/recording or other etc

@Jason - Noticed a horse running the other day called Torn and Frayed - Don't know if it won or not or a decent old hag or not but made me think of you - Assume not yours

No, I suspect that they are Rolling Stones fans too.

  • So the show is not just about selling, but also the 'lifestyle' of been a guitar player
Sleeping on floors, showers in motorway services, and somehow always ending up playing with someone who says “just one more gig & we’ll make it”?

Apologies if this has been answered already - is there a discount for attendance on both days, as in previous years?
    Ta muchly,

Last time it was a bit tight parking wise, I’d recommend being there as early as possible

Last year I got (very efficiently) marshalled to an overflow car park a couple of streets away
    Red ones are better.
