I've joined Ttony in the prolific cover club, something a bit different again hopefully.

It's a bit cheesy, but I wanted to use the new Alicia's Keys plugin that I got for free recently on an offer. It was a tune I did a short Insta reel improvised arrangement of for my weekend piano side hustle business, then it occurred to me it began with an M so here it comes with an extended intro and some singing as well.

It's also inspired by the absolute hatred of a number of people of the wonderful Jacob Collier in the thread about his guitar style - this is for you guys as it's very much in his piano style! He did do a version of this but it was a vocal harmony one not on piano

The accompanying image is possibly more interesting - see if anybody can work out what it is? I took it with my phone

Annnnnnnd I've finally just given up and done what I can to finish my Pastor of Muppets cover. It's a bit different sounding for me, I know my vocals on it are shit but I was too far down the line before I realised that key was too hard for me haha

Having realised the challenges ends this month not last ... yeah, I'm an idiot and can't read. I've found time to fix some of the bits I don't like in mine and sent a replacement to the incredibly handsome Mr Pie.

Put everything on max then reduce whichever is too loud

Ah.. the "Marshall stack in a pub" approach  

I've gone a little further than this tbh. Mostly trial & error and some fairly heavy leaning on Logic's defaults for various things! But I have something that sounds pretty good to my ears, especially given zero training and only about an hour spent after finishing recording.
