Great minds and all that - I put up a tweet to that effect yesterday. I know they've seen it, as it's been 'favourited' by their account (most likely automatically tbf), but nothing from this end either, unfortunately - sorry Will update if anything comes through though.

if i may be allowed to be `devil`s advocate`. maybe, just maybe , they aren`t too keen on their budget line of guitars being bought, with the sole purpose of being turned into "decent" instruments.which would by implication, infer that what they sell, isn`t actually , that good.

don`t shoot the messenger, but could this explain the lack of an answer?.perhaps...

and just to add, as i forgot, that as i`ve already stated i own a very nice `les paul` honeyburst from the HB range which is a hell of a guitar for the money!.

Or they could look at it as: we sell some guitars...people "upgrade" them. We sell more guitars off the back of that as cheap platforms. Whatever way; Thomann sell guitars.

That's logical indeed, but I can't believe they would be quite so precious over their acknowledged 'budget' line. These are (very) low cost instruments, and I shouldn't think they have any delusions of grandeur as to their quality. These aren't Gibson/Fender/PRS etc. beaters, just pretty and cheap guitars. Possibly, if playing the double devil's advocate, they would (and should) be flattered that we are all considering their guitars as excellent canvases for modification, and not dismissing them entirely as unplayable rubbish!

Think I'm gonna opt for this baby to go with the other 5 sg's I have. Wife is gonna kill me. I have 19 guitars in total, just built one this past couple of weeks. If she finds out there's another on the way, its surely divorce court!

A quick "we're considering your email" reply would have been nice then, rather than no reply to 2 separate emails.  And they're supposed to have decent customer service ....
