the pedal sounded like it added more bass and sustain somehow, and as I said, it is a 'powerful' pedal in terms of making your amp 'feel' like it was at full tilt; not just sounding that way.

Thanks forbthe photo comment - I'm currently in a 'bokeh' period !

  • Morning folks, the pedal just arrived safe and sound to me. It's a thing of beauty and I can't wait to get it plugged in. Unfortunately I've still got 6hrs of work between now and aural deliciousness!

  • Ok, so day 1 and my initial thoughts are thus -

At first I didn't think I was going to like this pedal. I wasn't quite ready for the kind of sound it was going to give me and I almost packed it back up to ship to Des. However, I tweaked it a bit more, found a reasonable volume level for my amp and started cranking out power chords and pentatonics, and that's when this pedal comes to life. It's a rock machine! Thorpy says it's best with humbuckers and he's not lying. My Axis Supersport, through this pedal into the Classic 30 was just rock heaven. If the classic rock covers band I've been talking with mates about ever gets off the ground, I'd want this pedal at the centre of my sound.

Here's the mini board I put together to jam along with a classic rock playlist on spotify -

My photography skills leave a lot to be desired and this picture really doesn't show off the beautiful finish on the enclosure. The build quality is superb, the switch feels solid and the blue LED is clear but not over powering.

I'm going to put it on my pedal board for The Bill's rehearsal on Wednesday to see how it works with delays and modulations and then it can head off to @DesVegas, I'll have had my fun, PM your address and you should have it by the weekend.

    Cheers.

From what I can see on the PayPal records, you sent in the £5 raffle entry rather than the £10 tour contribution??
