Agreed. There's a noticeable difference all round, imho, and the new models are great.

What's the harmonic tremolo do? I am not presently near my Helix.

Just had a go with the 2204 through a l3t I have in the living room (repairing the l3s .. I don't normally have a pa in the living room)
    It sounds epic
Set up a nice wee patch with the delays and miss on a different path and 3 amps
The MKIV set up as a clean
The MK IV channel 2 for crunch
    The 2204 for gain
    Switching via snapshots
It's pretty amazing for 10 minutes set up

I must get round to trying the Snapshots.

I've only played with the new amps on guitar so far. Funnily enough for guitar use I probably won't use snapshots. But for silly bass use it could be brilliant.

Had the first run out using the snapshots on Saturday at a festival - worked very well indeed! Basically had a main rhythm snapshot, then a solo snapshot with delay, a solo snapshot with delay and octaver, and another snapshot with delay and phase, with a bit of flange. Each of them were programmed by MIDI to my amp to switch channels using the instant midi commands on the Bank/Prog change. No idea how that worked or how I got it working, but it seemed to be fine. Sounded amazing as well!

I like to imagine that Cabicular does actually have a PA in his living room. Wall of subs and tops flying from the ceiling 2204 is awesome.

You've got the speaker the wrong way around there. The wires are meant to go inside.

    You're welcome.

    Nightmare!!

so anyway... Just say that I was possibly considering a no-amp setup... Not that I'm getting rid of my amp... But just for talking sake (I feel like such a sell out wen asking)... And say I was going to get a QSC K series speaker. Would I be better off with two 8 inch ones or a single 12?

I've generally liked QSC's 10s best, but I was coming at them from the Q-SYS direction.

The 8s will give wider dispersion and still go plenty deep for guitar. And you'll have stereo.
