    I upgraded from v1 when they had the special deal on ... great fun to use. What do you want to know?

    I'd say yes .. loads of new features, new sounds and a new interface.

    Nope .. I'd say it's average for EDM and the EDM crowd are more likely to go for Native Instruments, especially Maschine. I'd say it's great for your style of music @Drew_fx ..

    @Fretwired, what do I want to know?

    good question!

    I'm still finding my feet with the sort of music I want to write and record (albeit strictly for fun, hobby etc), but I get really inspired by soundscapes, big wide sounds, ambient, evolving stuff. Much more electronic I suppose.

    My all time favourite synth has to be Alchemy, because it is just so different and inventive. I am also a huge fan of NI Komplete - really like the Heavyocity stuff in particular.

    Everything I read about Omnisphere 2 clicks with me, it sounds amazing. So, I guess, really what I am doing here is procrastinating, and looking for someone to nudge me over the GAS cliff.

    WOuld be good to hear someone who is using it, say what its like to work with  - workflow, ease of use, sounds etc

    @ToneControl

    Yes. I also have Komplete Ultimate and they complement each other. I produce a lot of electronic music and Omnisphere is better for those big evolving soundscapes and sound design in general.

    @Snap

    Omnisphere is excellent for creating expansive evolving soundscapes - that's what I use it for primarily. I like creating ambient electronic music.

    haa thanks matey...

    we have a few more on the go right now at various stages..

    in truth.. this trailer stuff is the single most difficult style I've ever had to work with..

    and it's a nightmare to mix... they often can have well over 100 tracks.. all fighting for space..

    and... lmao... it takes several months to nail a piece that's just 2 min 30 sec long.. the trailer house sets a bench mark in terms of composition, orchestration and production that is soooo very high that it's frustratingly hard to hit.. and having submitted a version, then got back a novel worth of suggested corrections / changes and general comments that leave you pulling your hair out, and then been around this cycle of changes repeatedly for months [which drives you totally round the twist and can be infuriating], when you listen to the final piece and compare that to the one first submitted you have to concede that the fkrs are 100% spot on every time.. they seriously know their sht.. they are annoyingly clever.. lmao..
