well I am now a little over 2 hours into the install. Got one more disk to go. Surprised it didn't come on a hard drive like Komp Ultimate does.

I hope to get it ramped up tonight, have a butcher's.

If I can, I will record something, all depends on time over the weekend, but would be good to get some sounds up and running for peple to listen too.

Exciting, I love getting new kit.

Not as much as a new guitar, but not far off......!

I want a new strat, but that's another tale, for another day........

    OK,

    its feking amazing right!

here's a very quick track done just arsing around with some of the stuff I found. It took me half an hour, so expect nothing amazing, but hopefuilly give an idea of what is in there just having a very quick dabble.

    I am in love

couple of days in, I can safely say I think this is the best synth I've ever had. Its just so massive. Very very versatile too.

yo can't predict these things Clarky. GAS can hit any time. You need to ride the waves man, go with it. As it builds resistance is futile.

I had monumental GAS at the weekend, I bought a Mac as well.

I felt purged and strangely empty afterwards, with the inevitable buyer's regret too.

I need to resist GAS for a while if for no other reason than having to get to grips fully with my new brass and strings instruments..

and I need to spend more time with BFD3..
I know that I really have not got the best out of that one yet

That's the sound of sense in the air......

I don't think I will be splurging on any more VSTs for ages. I keep saying I need to get to understand what I have. Komplete Ultimate has months of learning in it, and I am enjoying learning how to get more out of Damage, Action Strings, Session Strings, Session HOrns, Evolve (all of them) etc etc. Then there is the almight beast of Reaktor that I really want to understand. NOt to mention Absytnh, Massive & FM8!!!!

And now Omnisphere 2, which (early days) seems MUCH more accessible than any synth I've used for ages. Its a well written piece of kit. Sounds so friggin good too. I've got a fair bit of audio I want to mangle up in it as well.
