Phil_aka_Pip;
It would seem that Long Tall Ronnie would be up for an appropriately-timed GearFest. I've already said I would. Any other East Anglian takers? How would you like it to be organised? Programme contents? Would you like it in a pub? Or a Village Hall? Location preferences? Dates to prefer/avoid?
(You may conclude that I've never organised or even been to such a thing before!)

And this is The Limes.
Oh well, we'll see.
There's a direct train service from Chelmsford to Stowmarket ?
I've just realised it's only 1 hour away by car. Plenty of options then.
I shall be there (baring death/hospitalisation etc).
Tell me what pedals you want me to bring. Guitar wise, I'll probably bring My Strat, and either my Charvel or Jackson.
Although, I'll bring what ever people ask me to bring...

A "gearfest" is where abunch of us get together, ogle each others gear, drink alcomohol, and possibly have a jam.
I feel that the suggested locations would be good, and I'm from (near) the fens (so not a proper Fenhead)
Ringleader of the Cambridge cartel, pedal champ and king of the dirt boxes (down to 21)
Last I heard from Phil (over at TEmpFab's) he was about to head off to the station to pick up his girlfriend. Since then, radio silence. And I don't see him here yet. Which is odd.
Or perhaps not.
I think Phil knows the peeps at the Magpie, so when he gets himself signed up here, we'll see if we can get some possible dates that would work for them (it'd be a handy venue). I'd guess that we're looking towards the end of August to avoid too many holiday clashes and a I'd also guess that it'd be a weekend afternoon/evening.
How's about we then aim for;
An afternoon of pure gear festing - opening at whenever's sensible (2pm/3pm?) to lust over professionally assess all the goodies, talk, drink, talk, and do some more lusting.
At some time in the late afternoon / early evening, perhaps - if we can get drummerists and all the necessary PA type stuff in place, we aim to plug some of it in and make some noise. That could be completely ad-hoc jamming, or some attendees might choose to agree-amongst-themselves-beforehand and prep a tune or two that they want to play for the enjoyment of the massed (and by now, some slightly "happy") GearFestees.
Finish some time later.
